“Kosovo 🇽🇰 ~Scenic From the Border with Macedonia 🇲🇰 to Prizren”
The following photos are why I love to explore country after country. Not all foreign lands wow me, but when they do, the a joy I feel is almost indescribable I feel so filled-up with happiness and gratefulness, I could just burst!

We entered Kosovo 🇽🇰 with friendly customs officers. I might like to mention that while the USA residents may not be allowed to travel, that is by and large a USA limitations in many cases. Kosovo is our fourth border crossing, with our American passports, and nobody blinks an eye, as we get our visa stamps.
Anyway, back to the more exciting parts of foreign travel! I instantly fell in love with Kosovo, and their friendly people. Kosovo is not a major destination for many tourists, but it definitely should be. Like the Alps in Albania, there is even more of the European alpine flare to be found here.
We discovered how the locals take Sunday drives into their mountains and picnic in style; on a hill, off the side of the road, on a trail. Chairs, tables and linen table cloths! I had no idea, but given the hard winters they have, where cabin fever is a daily grind, the locals know how to get out and “make hay, while the sun shines!” Good on Kosovoans, and who can blame them? These mountains are as beautiful as they can be!

We found an ATM to get Euros in our pockets again, (Kosovo’s currency)) and finally found a place to get a SIM card. We had to switch to google maps on our phone, to get even the slightest help with directions. It was touch and go for a bit, as we were quite lost upon entering the country. Pristina is their capital, so until we could get a working map, we followed those signs, but only to start, as the capital was not our destination. just in time, as we had to go west, then south (mountain routes only) we got it all together in the map department, and found the quaint and charming village of Prizren, which we were looking for. We will spend two nights, here, before heading to another area of beauty.
The extra night is much needed to get our of laundry done, and we don’t mind the extra time to just “live in the moment!”

We are planning on a total of three stops, in choice locations of Kosovo, before going to Serbia. We shall enjoy every second!
