“Turkey 🇹🇷 ~First Up a Turkish Breakfast!”
As we hoped, this morning dawned with beautiful blue skies and sunshine! The temps never got t too warm, so it was perfect for getting out and exploring in….. We had waited a few grey days for the grey skies and rain to pass. Now, we head out across the Bosphorus waters, on our fun, self-tour day.
But first, our friend (and landlord) took us out for a traditional Turkish Breakfast at a cozy restaurant; called “Akin Restoran.” It is right around the corner from our flat. It was delicious! We sat next to the wood-burning-stove and enjoyed the ambiance of the 700-year-old building; which at one time was connected to a Turkish Bath.
After our hearty Turkish breakfast of tea, cheese, dates, cucumbers, Pastrami, tomatoes, and toast with butter and honey, we headed out to enjoy the wonderful day!
