“Indonesia 🇮🇩 ~The Pristine Waters of Komodo National Park, Manta Point, and Kanawa Island”
The corals in the Komodo National Park are pristine, and alive with Mantas, sharks, Giant Turtles, Dolphins, Duhongs, many Pelagics, to the tiny Pygmy Seahorse and Nudibranchs. Also, there Frog Fish; you name it, they’ve got it.
The sites vary from gentle easy coral slopes to heart pounding adrenalin rides, from the warm waters of the Flores Sea in the north to the chillier waters down south in the Indian Ocean, the underwater terrains are also varied with sheer cliff walls, pinnacles, sandy flat bottoms, underwater plateaus, slopes, caves, swim-throughs, channels, all with varying colors, sizes and types of both hard and soft corals that together make the Komodo National Park a beautiful experience not easily forgotten.

At Manta Point…. the Manta Rays are not always present, but today we saw many… Manta Point is also known as Makassar Reef, and this is a well-known snorkelling/diving spot to encounter Manta Rays.
Best time for Manta viewing is from December to February
On our last stop of the day on Kanawa Island, we were allowed to go onto this private beach, where just a cup of coffee cost $8…. since the weather suddenly took a turn for the worse, with Thunder and Lightning, snorkeling was out; though well known fur is beautiful coral reefs…..Daryl and I, along with most the other guests, remained on the boat; also tired and ready to go back to port. It was a big day of activity and sightseeing, and we are so glad came here to do all of it!
Here comes a storm…. to bad it just sprinkled a little

Back at port… now, to get back to our hotel; five minutes drive from the marina, then much needed showers and food!
