“Macedonia and Moving Through Time to New Destinations”

We are traveling with Gypsies tail winds pushing us past converging shadows of a setting sun and rising moon. A confusing time as we are changing countries and customs. A revered time of changing cuisines, after a few hard weeks.
Now it is time to move on. Hopefully our travels in Macedonia will be more sure. Road signage and directions were so challenging in Serbia.
We are following a truck who’s pushed gust of winds rattling the grasses and making the tree limbs bow, as the truck passed. It is mesmerizing to see the air currents effect the surroundings.
As we came into a small village, plastic covered open sheds with hands of tobacco are drying. Anther 47 pass with different stages of dried tobacco, hanging loosely, fluttering in the breeze. Tobacco is such a plague to so many countrymen and women. Finding a smoke free area is difficult anywhere outside the USA.
Clouds grew dark in the eastern sky, as we headed west, towards a marine layer area, closer to the coast. We are on the edge of the front, as rain is looming. The sun was so bright, as we raced to outpace the dark clouds, which surely will bless us with essence that all life thrives from.
A man passes us, dancing with the devil, as a truck surely will alter his life forever. The game of chicken is forestalled by a decelerating truck. We look at each other with mouths agape!
Mountains rise from the hills, as we skirt besides them and drove into the city. After checking in to our hotel, the sky opened up with rain, but the sun shining through.
The next morning, a renewed day. The rain acted like a Phoenix, without the destruction; cleansing and brightening in every way. The sun shone strong with pure light and everything shined, as the dust had settled.
We have our COVID breakfast handed out and consumed. We packed up our goods.

We are heading to Magnolia Square in Bitola. This is an old downtown area that Is so interesting to walk around. The architecture has a rich history full of memories and culture.

The central plaza is surrounded my many religious Houses and towers remind that time is always moving. But time feels like it is standing still, as life is moving along with laughter and discussions over a coffee, or an early beer, by those around us.

We walk the the streets and explore a few churches and photo rich area. Statues honoring past hero’s, stand proudly depicting history and Angels of our creations.

Looking up, we are reminded about time, so we head back to our car for our next destination.
