“European Borders On Our Road-Tripping Adventures”

We will be wrapping up our Kosovo adventure, soon, but it may be as soon as tomorrow!

I am always planning ahead and researching. In this case, I discovered if we have a Republic of Kosovo stamp in our passport, it’s probable we will be denied access to Serbia 🇷🇸. BUT, we can cross the Serbian border from a third party country, no issue. This has nothing to do with Covid19, but instead, Serbia does not recognize Kosovo as a country with borders. (a political stance) Apparently, crossing from Serbia 🇷🇸 into Kosovo 🇽🇰 is not an issue.

So, by tomorrow, if we make our destination of Rugova Canyon, today, we will be quite close to the border of Montenegro 🇲🇪. Darn, *sarcasm* we will now have to go there, next, which means Bosnia/Herzegovina 🇧🇦, will happen after Montenegro 🇲🇪, THEN we can enter Serbia 🇷🇸 from there.

Our loop of European road-tripping is getting bigger, but we dont mind one bit! We have actually been to Montenegro 🇲🇪 and Bosnia/Herzegovina 🇧🇦 before, but we always said we would like to return one day and see more of each country.

It is difficult to fully understand if borders are open everywhere we want to go, because I often end up on a site that is not in English, when I research. We figure the worst that can happen, is we get denied access over a border, and we can come up with another plan. We are glad, at this time, we don’t have to buy plane fare. That could get expensive. Driving to a border is much cheaper, if we get denied.

In another case, because of Covid19, when America is on the list of “countries you have been to, recently” and denial is imminent, we do have proof in our passports, of every country we have been to over the last; almost three years, and the USA is not one of them. We may be allow us access as an exception. Time will reveal all the answers.

We are iving in the “here” and “now” for sure! Zigging, when we are trying to Zag, but it’s all in the name of adventure-ing, just the same!
