“USA 🇺🇸 ~Arizona and Her Beauty, INCLUDING a Sloth!”

Regardless of our over-busy, busy lives this last month, I have managed to capture a few good photos.
If somebody were to ask; “why spend so much time in Arizona?” Well, the answers are: I love the Cactus. Yep, that’s the main reason. Arizona has my favorite of all Cacti 🌵
“The saguaro is a tree-like cactus species in the monotypic genus Carnegiea that can grow to be over 39 feet tall. It is native to the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, the Mexican state of Sonora, and the Whipple Mountains and Imperial County areas of California. The saguaro blossom is the state wildflower of Arizona.”
The other shorter answer, is, the weather. We’ve been in Arizona since Christmas Eve of last year, and though we have had some chilly temps, and a few rain storms, we have had an abundance of sunshine!
Enjoy the photos!

The Verde River

Can’t beat an ice cream truck going through the campground!

“Out of Africa Wildlife Park”
in Camp Verde, Arizona! ⬇️
Though we have been on many, authentic African Safaris, we feel the need to support the local activities, wherever we travel, especially when it comes to animals.

This is Bart the Sloth ⬆️
We arranged a private encounter with this sweet guy. We got to begin right after his nap, where we got to feed him, pet him, and love on him for about 15 minutes. I’ve seen sloths up in the trees, in the wild, while visiting Costa Rica, but I’ve always wanted to get close to one, and touch, so, ✅

…not a big fan of masks, but it was required to be in a small area with Bart. We played the “game,” as we know animals don’t contract C19. Our masks are black mesh and breathable. No harm, no fowl.

Though our Sloth encounter could not be beat, we took the Safari bus to feed the giraffes, and view other various animals. They responded well to snacks the driver tossed out. 🤩

Last, but not least, we walked around the compound, to see what we could see. I dont care to take photos through cages, but here are a few.
BTW, I assure you the large cats had a lot of area to roam, but it was very hot, so they were near their water.

On this particular morning, after snowing the day before at camp, we woke-up to a blanket of snow in the nearby range of Camp Verde, and it was a real treat! We even had to wait till the sun came out and melt the ice on the roads, before we could drive the 2-hours down south to take possession of our “new to us,” Motorhome!
The drive was lovely.
