“Greece 🇬🇷 ~Who Knew?”

When we made the decision to sell our vehicles and “toys,” and downsize, lease our home out, store our limited belonging we did keep, and take off for five years of travel; we were organized, excited, determined and motivated. We believed we had thought of everything, leaving very little to chance and were confident we had a great plan in place.

But, a global pandemic virus that could shut the world borders down, was not EVEN a thought or concern, over two years ago! Nope, didn’t see this coming.

Still can’t believe this is happening 🙃🤔

On a positive note:
In preparation for our grand plan departure, I already ceased getting my nails filled (after 35 years-btw, that is not a typo), pedicures have been almost non-existent. No more makeup, no coordinating jewelry. We pre-purchased supplies, including my precious hair highlighting kits I use sparingly; same with toothpaste and special bar soap. I’ve already been cutting my own hair for most of these past years, and we’ve been wearing the same clothes over and over and over.. no dressing up. Being in foreign lands, not knowing a soul upon our entry to new countries, or our way around, Daryl and I rely completely on each other for company, mental health and emotional support. We already know what feeling isolated is all about. (this makes meeting locals and making lifetime friends all the more special, when we do) ❤️ Also, glad to report TP availability has never been an issue, ever, while in Europe.
