“Hong Kong 🇭🇰 ~Victoria Peak, Discovery Bay and HK City at Night”
“Victoria Peak and Tram in Hong Kong City”
Today we hopped on the bus, to get to the Metro Station. From there, we rode the Subway and made our way into the City. Once in the City, we found the Tram and rode it to the top of Victoria Peak. It was a great view from up high, looking down on all of Hong Kong. The air was pretty clear abs the sun was out! We had plans to go to the botanical gardens, too, but the unexpected crowds (on a weekday-but Christmas week) caused long lines to ride the tram up, then, another long line to go back down. Regardless, it was great fun to get into the City!

“Discovery Bay and Hong Kong City”
We arrived at the airport where John and Julie met us and began showing us the ropes with public transportation. We had a great meal in the city and wandered around. The next day, we would all go to 10,000 Buddha’s Monastery, and the Chi Lin Nunnery.
Our self-touring visit to Hong Kong, for a longer length of time was made possible, because of John and Julie. Julie and I graduated high school together, and we wanted to see them while in HK. Right away, they invited us to stay at their condo on Discovery Bay. They would spend the next two days after we got there to hang out with us, before leaving on a trip they had planned, elsewhere. We stayed at their place for a few weeks. It was just perfect, and we spent some of our HK days hanging out at their place and being lazy. It was Christmas time, so it was a perfect opportunity to stay in and enjoy the fabulous view, right there!
