“Uganda 🇺🇬 ~The Nile and Lake Victoria in Jinja”

Our second visit to the Nile River, here in Jinja, Uganda 🇺🇬, took us to its actual source

Fact: Some of Gandhi’s ashes were released in the source of Nile, in Jinja, as he had requested

Last year, we rode a Felucca sailboat on the Nile in Cairo, Egypt 🇪🇬. Today, in Uganda, we enjoyed a boat ride around part of Lake Victoria, which is where the Nile River bubbles up from beneath it.

The Nile is the longest river in the world. Today, the water in the lake/river was high, but we could still see the different currents and eddies, where the two water sources join…We also saw many birds, and large/small monitor lizards on the boat tour.

Very interesting!

In the near future, in Ethiopia 🇪🇹, we will also visit the Blue Nile, which, with its salt water, meets the fresh water Nile River in Sudan 🇸🇩 In Egypt 🇪🇬, after Ethiopia 🇪🇹 we will spend six days floating the Nile River between Luxor and Aswan. We are not in denial about the Nile at all. We love it!
